Presidents Report:

A change of club name is on the agenda for comment. The feeling is that a more regional name will express a broader view for members out of town and for Trail Advocacy. This to be discussed further and name options considered. The RAMBO series is looking like going ahead again and starting in June with our home race in July.

Treasurers Report:

Bank balance at end of February a little over $2,000. The trailers continue to be our main income stream, thanks to Rob Holden for looking after this function and keeping the club liquid.

Memberships:

We have 48 paid up members at present.

DH Report:

State Championships have been run. Our club results are:-Dean Lucas, 1st Under 15 Men.Katelyn Humphris 3rd Elite Women.Darcy Wilkinson 3rd Under 17 Men.Jake Hunter 4th Sport Men.Tom Riella 7th Expert MenRyan Humphris 8th Under 19 Men. A cracker of a result from this team, well done to everyone involved.

Trail Advocacy Report:

The much mooted cross country track on either side of the Rail Trail to Everton is going ahead. The track is to be planned and overseen by the club with construction labour being donated. The trail will be an easier flowing style of trail and when completed will be a signature for the town with an estimated full length of 36km. This will be constructed in 3 stages. Thanks to Clayton Neil for his efforts in moving this to the next level.Progress on the Mount Stanley Mountain Bike Trail Development has been spurred on by the recent bush fires. A submission has been put in for the bush fire recovery infrastructure rebuilding. This is planned to be a huge development with 30-40 km’s of cross country and an 8-10 km “Super D” style downhill. The emphasis on this development will be on financial sustainability as well as environmental and is planned as a family destination. We will keep you posted on the progress.Work at the Mountain Bike Park is progressing with the new start to the downhill being completed and new cross country across the top of the hill and over to Secret track. Rehabilitation works being done on the old Mojo and around the old bridge area, this is a big task.

Business Arising:

Trail Advocacy meetings to be set up to encompass the whole region to help each other and move things along.

Next Meeting:

Wednesday May 6th in Wang.
