Club member Simon Davis generously allowed the club to build a downhill course on his property at Yackandandah in 2006. Since then there have been 2 Vic state DH rounds held there and a few ride days.

The Chaingang are keen to hold regular ride days there but the biggest hurdle is getting 4WDs to use for shuttle transport. Troop carriers are very difficult to hire and not everyone is happy to have their vehicle used for these purposes. We can hire 7 seat wagons from rental companies , but it's an expensive option as we aim only to cover costs and not profit from these ride days. Keeping expenses to a minimum reduces the entry fee for participating riders.

The shuttle road is generally in good condition with only one steep section at the top that has a few waterbars. This part of the road rules out 4WDs with low ground clearance , such as Subaru wagons etc. Bikes are carried on the clubs trailers which will be towed by club members vehicles , we have that bit covered ! Your 4WD is required only to transport riders. So if you are interested in helping out , please contact the club at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will pay for all fuel used and also provide payment for the use of your vehicle.

We are hoping to hold a ride day in September , so if you can assist with transport , please let us know.

Thanks
